PANCAP Meetings To Be Held In Grenada

The focus shifts from H1N1 to AIDS this week as more than 150 representatives of the Pan Caribbean Partnership against HIV and AIDS will meet here from Wednesday to Friday.

They will attend the organisation’s ninth annual general meeting.

Discussions and presentations will focus on the theme, towards universal access enhancing the Multi-Sectoral response to HIV and AIDS in the Caribbean,

Minister of Health Ann Peters thinks this augurs for three days of stimulating discussions.

Recent updates of what is new in the field of HIV and AIDS, including the latest advancement in the development of an HIV vaccine are also on the agenda.

The meeting opens on the evening of the 28th. A number of addresses will be given by key leaders in the region, including Prime Minister Tillman Thomas, and Caricom Secretary-General, Edwin Carrington.
