Tickets go on sale for Grenada leg of Windies/Bangladesh series

Tickets for the test match between West Indies and Bangladesh went on sale from July 1st 2009.

Matches will be played at the national cricket stadium from July 17th – 21st.

Tickets are being sold from 8:00am to 4:30pm at the ticket office at the cricket stadium.

They will play two test match series, and three One Day Internationals

President of the Grenada Cricket Association, Cecil Greenidge says they have designed a fee structure to allow as many people as possible an opportunity to witness the game.   » More...

Carriacou Netballer Selected for National Under 23 Team

Diana Gittens, a netball player from Carriacou, has become the first person from the sister island to be selected to represent Grenada on the national under 23 netball team.

She is a recent graduate of the Hillsborough Secondary School and will travel with the team to Nevis on a one week tour.

Gittens, was awarded during her graduation ceremony for her outstanding performance in netball during her five years at the school. She will be playing in the position of wing attack.   » More...

The Grenada National Team defeated Queens Park Rangers 3-0 in the big 6 final

The Grenada National Team is warming up for the gold cup in the United States.

Last night they defeated Queens Park Rangers in the big 6 final 3-0.

The Grenada Football Association (GFA) introduced night football as part of the just ended bi g 6 tournament and according to the Technical Administrator of GFA, Lester Smith, the Association is hoping to make it part of the up coming GFA season.

The Grenada National Netball

The Grenada National Netball Championship started yesterday with wins for “ADM” Queens Park Rangers and Police in the A division.

And in the B Division…”Hood Shy Light” and St. Pauls Sports Club recorded wins.

Queens Park Rangers defeated “Arley Gill Fun City” and police beat New Hampshire.

While in the B Division Hood Shy Light beat La Source 32-25 and St. Paul’s defeated New Hampshire Strikers.

There are no games today Monday but competition resumes on Tomorrow Tuesday.

The Tournament was declared open on Saturday by Sports Minister Patrick Simmons and Lady Norma Glean made the first past to officially start the games.

The match past was won by police.
